Construction is up all over the metropolitan area so building departments are busy! Please schedule enough time for plan review to keep your project on track. Typical plan review times are as follows:
Basement finish, water heaters, furnaces, decks, and shingle re-roof permits are typically processed over the counter. If the plans analyst on duty is quite busy, you may be asked to leave your permit for review. If your permit cannot be done over the counter it may take 1 to 2 weeks to complete.
Over The Counter Plan Reviews: (Basement Finish, Small Remodels, Decks, Pergola's & Patio Covers)
Plan reviewers will only be doing over the counter plan review between 8 am and 4 pm. If you are bringing in any plan review documents after 4 pm please be prepared to drop them off for review and we will call you once they are complete.
