US 287 Broomfield to Longmont

Boulder County, in partnership with Broomfield, conducted a series of studies on the US 287 corridor. The studies investigate the US 287 corridor between Longmont and Broomfield. Phase I of the study advanced Bus Rapid Transit feasibility findings from the 2014 NAMS. It also identified locations for transit stations and recommended operational improvements for transit. In addition, Phase I identified corridor safety and operational improvements for motorists.

Phase II of the study focused on safety and mobility on the corridor. The study identified safety interventions throughout the corridor. The intent was to reduce severe and fatal crashes. Phase II also identified opportunities to improve bicycle, pedestrian, and transit facilities on the corridor. Corridor partners are seeking grant funds to construct critical safety projects.
