Senior Services Volunteer Positions
Dining Room ServerKitchen Assistant
Complete a variety of tasks, including, but not limited to: food prep, packaging meals, and cleaning. Food prep is completed for the Meals on Wheels program and Lakeshore Cafe. Additional shifts may be necessary for special event lunches.
Loan Closet
Keep adaptive equipment safe and sanitary by examining items as they are returned and making necessary repairs, in addition to cleaning the equipment and organizing the closet.
Meals on Wheels
Deliver hot, nutritious, and fresh meals to Broomfield residents at their home. Volunteers will be given a predetermined route and are asked to commit to one day per week. Volunteers use their own car for this position. Substitute drivers are also needed in the event that regular route drivers are unable to work their shift.
Office Support
Assist with a variety of office administrative tasks Monday-Friday. Tasks may include making program reminder calls, preparing program supplies, tabulating program evaluations, and completing computer work.
Special Projects
Assist with special events and project throughout the year. These events and projects help Broomfield Senior Services operate efficiently and meet the needs of the clients.
Woodshop
Monitor the woodshop and participants during open hours. Must have knowledge of all machinery, review the woodshop manual, pass the test, as well as complete an interview with other woodshop volunteers and the Recreation Supervisor.
