Redpoint Ridge Park Landscape Renovation

News & Updates

Construction improvements at Redpoint Ridge Park are in progress.  Phase 1 includes electrical, irrigation, and hardscape.  The Park is currently closed to the public during this phase of work, which is anticipated to continue through the end of February 2026.  Phase 2 will install new plants in Spring 2026.

Project Summary

The proposed improvements include the installation of a new water-efficient irrigation system, sustainable landscaping, as well as an upgraded electrical system.  The project will also replace dead plants, install rock mulch and incorporate various xeric landscaping elements, including additional park furniture and amenities. The main features and layout of the park, such as the shelter, seat wall, playground area, basketball court, turf area, trees and boulder features, will remain in place.

Please expect temporary sidewalk closures and pedestrian detours around the park perimeter during construction.

Background Information

In 2017, the public first raised concerns about the overall deteriorating condition of the park.  The original electrical supply lines that feed the various lighting features throughout the park have resulted in numerous underground breaks. The original landscape consisted of extremely dense planting, and most of it has died.

The Redpoint Ridge Park Landscape Renovation project will address these issues.

The project was advertised for bid in July 2025, and Environmental Logistics, Inc. was selected as the contractor.
