Historic Landmark Board

The Historic Landmark Board proposes criteria for the review of historic resources, review properties nominated for designation and make recommendations, advise and assist owners of historic properties. Other duties include:

  • Pursue financial assistance for preservation and history-related programs
  • Develop a checklist of activities required for receiving a historical landmark tax rebate
  • Identify and implement other incentives for owners of historic properties
  • Issue certificates of recognition and authorize plaques for historical landmarks
  • Foster civic pride and awareness of Broomfield’s unique heritage
  • Maintain records and files

Meetings

  • Time: 6 p.m. (time may change based on need)
  • Location: City Council Conference Room and digitally. A link and call in number are provided within the meeting agenda
  • Frequency: Quarterly or monthly, as needed
  • Details: Meetings are open to the public

Next Meeting

  • The Historic Landmark Board special meeting scheduled for Oct. 29, 2023 at 8:30 a.m. at 1 Garden Center is cancelled due to inclement weather. The next meeting is scheduled for Jan. 25, 2024 at 6 p.m.  Please see agenda for details on how to participate.
