Library Advisory Board

The Library Advisory Board  reviews the annual budget request prepared by the library director prior to submittal to the city manager and city council and provides written recommendations regarding approval. The board works in unison with the library director to aid in fulfilling the library needs for Broomfield residents. 

The seven-member board is appointed by and advisory to the Broomfield City Council. Members must be residents of the city. The board convenes to organize and elect a chairman, vice-chairman and secretary.

  • 1st Thursday of the month ** Novembers Library Board Meeting is on Tuesday 11.01.2023**
  • Exceptions: NO Meetings in July or December
  • Meetings start at 6:30 p.m.

Establishment

The Library Advisory Board was established by Chapter 2-52-020 of the Municipal Code and Resolutions No. 4-85 and No. 5-93

Get Involved

Any interested citizen is invited to attend board meetings. Please call the library to confirm meeting times. Applications for open positions are available in January of each year.
