To highlight, honor and celebrate the commitment and sacrifice of current, former and fallen members of all branches of the United States Armed Forces and their families, the Broomfield Workforce Center, Veterans Museum Broomfield, Broomfield Library and the Broomfield Development, Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Office are working together to plan veteran-focused events including a career and resource fair specific to veterans and an appreciation luncheon at the Broomfield Community Center.
The City and County of Broomfield celebrated Military Appreciation Month in a variety of ways including a proclamation by Mayor Guyleen Castriotta proclaiming May as Military Appreciation Month, workshops on Reopening Previously Denied VA Claims and Ageism, a career fair, resume class, a veterans luncheon and the Memorial Day Picnic and Celebration.
