Any person going door-to-door within the City and County of Broomfield to take orders or to sell anything of value is required to obtain a Solicitor's License, per Broomfield Municipal Code (BMC).
• New license - $17.00 valid for one year
Application and Procedure
Take the completed Solicitor's License Application to the City Clerk's office where a copy of your photo ID will be made, your photo taken for the solicitor's badge, and the fees collected. Applications are taken Monday - Thursday between 9:00 am and 4:00 pm. The Police Department will conduct a background check, which takes approximately 2-3 weeks, but can take longer.
Following approval the City Clerk's Office will contact the applicant to pick up the solicitor's badge. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact the City Clerk's office at 303.438.6332.
Remember there is no solicitation before 9:00 am or after 6:00 pm. No solicitation on Sundays or Holidays.
