Julie Twiss

About Julie

Julie was elected to represent Ward 1 in 2025. She moved to Colorado from Tennessee in 2001 and has lived in Broomfield's Brandywine neighborhood since 2016. Her family here includes her husband, two teenagers, and her mother.  They can often be found walking their dogs or riding bikes through local parks and open spaces.

Education

Julie holds a Master of Library and Information Science from San José State University and a Bachelor's degree in Sociology/Social Work.

Professional Background

Julie works in adult services at a public library in a neighboring community, where she brings a professional background in project management and education to support community programs and services.

Political/Community Experience

Julie has been an engaged member of the Broomfield community since making it her home. She has volunteered throughout the Adams 12 Five Star School District, including in classrooms, libraries, and on the Mountain View Elementary PTO Board. She currently serves on the Adams 12 Long Range Planning Advisory Board. Julie has also served the Broomfield Public Library in several capacities, including on the One Book One Broomfield Committee and as a Chair of the Library Board.
