Governor Polis and the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment (CDPHE) announced updates to the state’s COVID-19 vaccine distribution plan on Friday, Feb. 26. Changes include:
- The original phase 1B.3 has been split into two phases: 1B.3 and 1B.4. See detailed phase descriptions and eligibility requirements at Broomfield.org/COVIDVaccine.
- People in Phase 1B.3 are eligible for vaccination starting on March 5.
- People in Phase 1B.4 will likely become eligible at the end of March (dependent on federal vaccine supply).
- Phase 2 now includes those who were not eligible to receive a vaccine in prior phases and will likely start in early May, again, depending on federal supply. Phase 3 is now combined with Phase 2.
Broomfield Public Health (BPH) will continue to coordinate with partners to vaccinate currently eligible residents and provide future vaccine opportunities for residents who will be eligible for vaccination in Phases 1B.3 or 1B.4. Residents who are eligible for vaccination should still sign up with health systems as the best way to get a vaccine, and may also submit Broomfield Public Health’s Vaccine Interest Form. Links to local health-systems and vaccination providers, as well as to Broomfield’s Vaccine Interest Form, are available at Broomfield.org/COVIDVaccine. CDPHE has also published information on their vaccine web page.
